Mentor vacancy

(Voluntary position)

Are you an experienced professional in deeptech with a drive to help startups grow?

The Entrepreneurship Matchmaking Community (EMC) by Water Alliance is looking for mentors to support ambitious watertech startups on their journey to market expansion.

What is the EMC?

The EMC connects promising water-related deeptech startups with experienced mentors. Together, we help these startups grow faster and smarter — through personal guidance, access to networks, and targeted support.

Who are we looking for?

You don’t need to be a water tech expert, but you do need relevant experience in a deeptech-related field. That could be technical (engineering, R&D) or non-technical (business development, marketing, finance, etc.).

We’re especially looking for people who:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in one or more of our core focus areas (see block on the right)

  • Are happy to volunteer their time (this is not a paid role)

  • Can commit around 4 hours per month per startup

  • Are fluent in English (Dutch/EU market familiarity is a bonus)

  • Can work remotely

Why become a mentor?

  • Be part of a driven, international innovation community

  • Grow your own network with startups and fellow experts

  • Make a real difference for the future of water technology
